Individualized Assessment and Training
- This service is best for students who find themselves struggling in different areas of learning.
- These students will learn how to use different tools and strategies to help them be as productive as they are smart.
- The service begins with a needs-based informal assessment where we learn about the students, their strengths and needs and then helps tailor a "technology toolbelt" to help close the gaps in their learning.
- This service is available for students ranging from grade one through post-secondary school.
MindTech Skills
- Currently being offered by our clinic director, clients will work with Dana to learn how to integrate their assistive technology tools into their daily work while learning a new learning strategy or building a new executive function skill each week.
- Topics to be covered will include things like organization, planning and time management, leveraging assistive technology to support reading and writing, how to break down assignments to avoid overwhelm, note taking, getting started on tasks, setting realistic goals, how to stay focused and get things done.
